Models

The Valentini Scorpion Forestry Mulcher range are available in two different models with different working widths in each:

540rpm PTO Speed Models – 70-110hp power requirement

1000 – 1075mm working width

1300 – 1325mm working width

1500 – 1575mm working width

1000rpm PTO Speed Models – 100-220hp power requirement

1800 – 1825mm working width

2000 – 2075mm working width

2300 – 2325mm working width

2500 – 2575mm working width

2800 – 2825mm working width

Specification

All models feature a 500mm diameter reinforced rotor capable of working up to a maximum of 150mm deep. On the 540rpm models, depth is adjusted by mechanical skids whereas on the larger 1000rpm models feature hydraulic skids. In addition, the rotor is driven by oil immersed gears. As a result very little power is lost through the drive train.

High strength steels such as Hardox and Domex are used extensively in the construction of the machines. As a result, this gives the machines a superior resistance to wear and consequently a long working life. High quality bearings are used on all shafts. Protection is provided to these by Valentini’s own Labyrinth seals.

A hydraulic push bar is available as an option across the range. This is a useful accessory when working in tall brash for assisting feed of material into the machine. In addition, it can also offer extra protection to the tractor. A hydraulically adjusted rear roller is also available as an option.

In addition, it is also possible to fit hydraulically adjustable doors to the front and rear of the machine.

Whilst being primarily aimed for use as a forestry mulcher, it is also possible to use the Scorpion models as a stone crusher up to a depth of 70mm in hard ground.
